Masantol - a town in Pampanga

Masantol was a former part of the Town Macabebe and becomes a town in the Year 1878. It is surrounded by the Pampanga River. The Town is named after the word “santol” (sour apple or cotton fruit which are commonly used for cooking) and is a major producer of Santol frutes. The San Miguel Parish Church was built in 1932 and was named after their patron saint, San Miguel the Arch Angel. On May 1, 1952 started the “Cruzada” it is the Crusade of Virgen delos Remedios.
