Candaba – a town in Pampanga

Cang engl.: Brother and Daba engl.: big earthen jar.  The town is known for its farming and fishing industries with products like: tilapia fish, mud fish, cattle fish, crabs, shrimps, prawns, vegetable and water melons.  It is popular in making “Buro” the fermented cooked rice placed in an earthen jars for fermentation.  The Candaba swamp became tourist destination because of the thousands migratory birds and wild ducks migrating in the swamp during the winter season of Siberia and China.
