  Guagua – a town in Pampanga
  Guagua is known for its furniture, interior church paintings and wood carvings. Location on 
  Pampanga’s river tangle to manila bay, the town is named after the word “wawa” (engl. mouth of 
  the river). Early inhabitants of the town were already engaged in trade and barter in terms of 
  fishing and farming industries with the Chinese merchants. Politically, the town plays important 
  role in the revolutionary struggles of the Filipinos against foreign invaders.  The Guagua Public 
  market is the biggest and well known tough the entire province.

  Philippine Hokkien (Speak by the Chinese local people in the Philippines) and during the Spanish 
  period they change it to Guagua in accordance with Spanish terminology.
