Towns and Cities of Pampanga:

San Luis – a town of Pampanga

San Luis - Due to the huge amount of fruit bats propagating in the village, the settlers named the place “Cabagsak” meaning plenty of fruit bats. Later on, it was named after San Luis Gonzaga (St. Aloysius Gonzaga) the town patron saint. The century old church is located in the town proper of San Luis. Formerly it is just a part of the largest town of Pampanga which is Sta. Ana. While the population is growing and the state of economy is improving, the early settlers filled a petition to separate the village from Sta. Ana to become a new town. The main source of income of the people is coming from Mango fruits, fish pond, rice, sugar cane, and cacao production. Picture Gallery: San Luis
