Minalin is name from the kapampangan word “minalis” (engl: to move). The oldest church in town is the Parokya nang Santa Monica named after St. Monique as their patron saint.  Minalin known as “The Egg Basket of Luzon” as the large chickens and eggs producer. Local farmers produce rice, cacao, corns and a huge amount of sugar canes. The Sugar canes get the future processing to sugar in Town. The scattered swamps servse the locals for commercial fishing.
