It is actually called “Gasac” or “Sta. Rita de lele” because of its proximity to Porac and Bacolor. Finally it was named after its patron saint, Sta. Rita de Casia. The Sta. Rita Parish is the oldest parish existing in the Philippines named after the saint. It is popular for the “turones de casoy” delicacy and the delicious “Sansrival”.
